The Announcer is an unseen character who is present all throughout the game, announcing the beginning and end of every stage and boss fight.
He is voiced by Luke De Ayora, who has voiced many other characters such as Goopy Le Grande, Werner Werman, Sally Stageplay, and Chef Saltbaker.

- The announcer is similar in his role to boxing ring umpires.
- Prior to the update patch, the Announcer used the same quotes from other boss fights for the Mausoleum.
- Likewise, there was no fail quote.
- The snail that is part of the Moonshine Mob impersonates the announcer in their level, Bootlegger Boogie, during the beginning of the level, and after the anteater's defeat. After the snail's or Light Bug's defeat in Simple Mode, the real announcer will clear his throat and then say knockout.
- His reaction towards the snail's impersonation implies that he disapproves of being temporarily replaced.
